The old shop stands on weak legs

The old shop used to be a chicken coop that was raised up about 30 years ago. It turned into the place where engine work was done and general shop activities were conducted.

An interesting find is the old calendars on the wall by the desk in the shop office. Those calendars display pictures of water wheels. This is probably where most of the dreaming and designing was done for the water wheel on the Beavercreek Farm!

Unfortunately, the main posts in the walls — and many of the smaller dimensional lumber pieces — are badly rotted. We’ll get a builder in to assess whether the building can be stabilized at a reasonable cost.
