Chris grew up in northern Ontario, Canada, where he developed a deep love for nature. This early and meaningful connection led to a lifelong commitment to protecting the environment.

He studied agricultural and natural resources science at Sul Ross State University and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife management and biology from Evergreen State College.

With over 28 years of experience in land conservation and wildlife management, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his role as District Manager for Clackamas SWCD. He oversees all District programs and focuses on supporting the staff to achieve their mission. He is also passionate about building, mentoring, and keeping a strong, diverse team.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing ice hockey and honing his skills as a pitmaster. District staff can attest to his BBQ skills.
