The building permit was issued this week for the Conservation Resource Center project at 22055 S Beavercreek Road, Beavercreek, Oregon. This has been years in the making so the issuance of the permit marks a turning point for the project.
Nathan Tucker, CSWCD Financial Administrator, and Tom Salzer, CSWCD General Manager, paid the fees on Wednesday and received the permit and stamped drawings. (And thank you to County staff for taking this snapshot of us happily clutching our prizes!)
Status and timeline
Survey work continued this week to meet the County’s requirements for easements along Beavercreek Road and Ferguson Road.
Site excavation continued. The construction plan assumes that we would find enough boulders to use for a retaining wall on the southwest side of the open plaza. We weren’t finding many boulders but that changed this week when more were uncovered toward the south side of the site. A few boulders are quite large.
Gravel base for the front (north) and side (west) parking areas was brought in. Next week the last of the gravel base should be placed, forming a driveway around the entire facility. This is needed so that we can access the buildings behind (south) of the Conservation Resource Center, and to provide unobstructed access for emergency vehicles.
Forming will begin around April 1. We expect that footings and the building slab will be completed by mid-April.
Framing is expecting to begin at the end of April.
